The motorized rafts make the river portion of the journey accessible to participants at all levels of physical fitness. However, full enjoyment of the off-river experience, including day hikes and side-canyon exploration, calls for a reasonable degree of fitness and flexibility.

About the Boats 
Hatch
Expeditions will provide us with a safe and stable 33-foot S-rig motorized
raft, crewed by two experienced Grand Canyon boatmen. Hatch, now in its third
generation, is the original Grand Canyon outfitter, with 70 years of experience.
In addition
to guiding us through the whitewater,
our boatmen also prepare three legendary meals each day and serve as resources
for our full appreciation of the varying Canyon environment, including side-canyon
hikes.
